March 7 is known as the Teachers’ Day in Albania but instead of celebrating the teachers have sent a strong warning to Edi Rama’s government.

The chairman of the Independent Union of Albanian Teachers, Nevrus Kaptelli, has announced a general strike within this March unless the government increases their salaries.

The Union has demanded a 20% raise, which is lower than the unkept promise of the government for a 40% raise.
