Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha declared before the start of the rally outside the parliament the opposition will fulfill today its promise to relinquish the parliamentary mandates.

Speaking to media reporters, the Democrat chief said the parliament functions no more starting from today, while Premier Edi Rama has left the Albanian capital.

Reminded about the foreign diplomats’ call against violence, Basha said it is a message that Rama and his puppets in the Ministry of the Internal Affairs must listen to.

“Today is the historic day when the mandates are returned to the people and they are the only mandates untainted by the open collusion with the organized crime”, Basha said.

“Mandates will be given up today. The parliament has closed its doors unlawfully and unconstitutionally, the government has left. We will make possible that the government and Edi Rama leave not only for one day and open the way to free and fair elections, to a parliament from the people, with the people, for the people”.
