Moments of tension in the Albanian parliament today as one of the opposition deputies threw ink into Premier Edi Rama’s face.

Rama took the floor after Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha offending the Democrat chief and prompting the Democrat MP Edi Paloka to go towards the Prime Minister and throw ink into his face using a syringe.

Speaker Gramoz Ruçi told Paloka, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, to leave the room and later the parliament bureau expelled him for ten days.

The parliament later voted unanimously in favor of the NATO accession protocol for North Macedonia.
