Albanian Premier Edi Rama challenged his predecessor Sali Berisha in the parliament today asking him whether he can “pass the ocean”, alluding the former President and Prime Minister is denied entrance to the United States of America.
Responding to media reporters during the session break, Berisha denied Rama’s claims about the supposed refusal of a US visa. He said he has not applied for one, but he has never been refused a visa whenever he has applied in the past.
“Absolutely never! It’s an invention, from the beginning to the end. But I rarely travel”, Berisha said.
The former President also said it is impossible to go to the elections with Edi Rama in power.
“The opposition will prevent it, because no elections can take place with Edi Rama (in power). This is not an attempt of the opposition to take power by force, but to win the elections by votes”, Berisha said.
