Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said the links of the government with crime can no longer be tolerated and proposed the creation of a caretaker cabinet that will prepare the snap elections. Basha called the current government as a “government of enigmatic puppets”.

“You don’t know what you say because you don’t know why you’re here”, Basha addressed to the Socialist majority today in the parliament.

“Half of you are here not thanks to the votes of the Albanian Socialists, with which, beyond the opposite political positions about how to run the country, we share the love for this country. You are here thanks to a group of criminals with which you have bound your destiny and whose interests you serve”.

“There is not a more important issue to discuss today than the way to solve the crisis: Either through the opposition’s proposal for a caretaker cabinet, or this room will be cleansed by those who own it, the Albanian people”, Basha warned the Socialist majority today.
