The Democratic Party (PD) has disclosed today the mystery of expropriating thousands of residents in the area of construction of Tirana’s new ring road. The cause for removing the inhabitants is the construction of a new luxury residential project from the drugs trafficker Edmond Bego with the signatures of Premier Edi Rama and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj.

Democrat MPs Jorida Tabaku and Gazment Bardhi published the documents that prove the new scandal of Rama and Veliaj with the New Ring and the bed of the river Lana.

Edmond Bego’s Alsion Albania Company will build at the former area of greenhouses a €60 million-worth residential complex close to the New City Ring.

Rama and Veliaj have approved the construction by expelling the inhabitants and deflecting the stream of the river.

Ms. Tabaku said this is a scandal while Mr. Bardhi said this is clear proof of money laundering and that in Tirana the construction industry is being used for money laundering.
