Reports in the Italian press today say the Prosecution of Catania has requested 18 years in prison for Moisi Habilaj, the head of a drugs cartel in Albania and a relative of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri. The Prosecution requested 12 years and 4 months in prison for Meridian Sulaj, a gang member; six years for the financier Nazer Seiti, and the release of Fatmir Minaj.
Meridionews.it specified the investigation is continuing over links of the criminal group with the politics, pointing out Habilaj’s relation to Tahiri.
