Thousands of students of the Albanian public universities are protesting for the third day against the decision of Edi Rama’s government to charge them extra tariffs for repeating exams.
Students from all faculties marched in Tirana’s main boulevard to reach the Ministry of Education. Students from the universities of Elbasan, Durrës and Korça have joined the protest in the Albanian capital.
With slogans “We are not ATMs” and “lower the tariffs”, students are appealing the government to cancel the extra fees imposed on them, promising to continue the protest and boycott of classes unless the government responds to their demands.
