Tension is high in the Lapraka area in Tirana where members of a family are staying inside their house while the city hall wheel diggers are ready to pull it down. The residents say they will not leave the house and are ready to die there.

The residents of Lapraka were given the order to leave their houses and businesses without a previous warning, despite the buildings are legalized.

The area is included within the project of the new city ring road and residents are protesting against the demolition of their houses and livelihood.
