The residents of the Astir area in Tirana have gathered outside the Albanian parliament protesting against the demolition of their houses and livelihood to make space for the new city ring. The residents request full compensation for their property that will be destroyed.

Police are in a high level of alert and have surrounded the parliament not to allow the precipitation of the situation.

Meanwhile, the majority deputies are discussing about the fiscal package of 2019, in the absence of the opposition that continues the boycott of the parliamentary sessions.
