The chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Monika Kryemadhi joined the protest of the Astir area residents in Tirana today, calling on Albanian Premier Edi Rama to withdraw from the decision to demolish their houses and livelihood because it is illegitimate.

Speaking to media reporters, Ms. Kryemadhi said the residents are in their right to protest and they must be compensated properly because they have paid taxes.

She added Rama is using double standards with the project of the new city ring, also calling the construction firms to stay away from the citizens’ houses.
