The protest of the Astir area residents has entered its 16^th day against the government’s project to destroy their houses and livelihood to make space for the new city ring. The today’s protest was programmed to start after noon but started earlier following the removal of tree on both sides of the road from the constructing company Salillari.

The residents gathered in the spot and forced the workers to leave their job and go. Police have been present to prevent any serious incident. Also, a team from the institution of ombudsman is present to watch the situation and follow it in a administrative approach.

The Ombudsman said two days ago the city hall has no permission to start working.
