The protest of hundreds of Tirana residents against the demolition of their houses to make space for the new city ring has entered in its tenth day, accompanied in each of them by the police pressure and terror on the protesters.

Many of them have been taken in custody, the last ones yesterday, to be released in the early hours of Wednesday.

Democrat MPs are going to the police commissariat number six in the Albanian capital, because last night police arrested the son of the family that owns the bar where Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha had a meeting with some representatives of the area residents a few days ago. It is understood police arrested him ignoring the fact the young man is in a bad shape of health.
