Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha commented the resignation of Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj, saying this is only the beginning of Premier Edi Rama’s fall.

"The resignation of Fatmir Xhafaj, the only Interior Minister in Europe with a drugs trafficker brother, is an important step in our battler to clean the politics from crime”, Basha said.

“With Fatmir Xhafaj, criminality took full control of police and prosecution. His resignation is only the beginning of the demolition of Edi Rama’s co-governance with crime. The battle for the liberation of politics, economy and society from crime will continue till the victory. Albanians deserve a government that works for the people”.
