Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said today the next year’s municipal elections could also be anticipated parliamentary elections, revealing the opposition’s plan to remove Premier Edi Rama from office.

Basha made his declaration in a meeting with farmers in north Albania.

"We have the wrong government, a government that thinks only for its pockets and this must be stopped”, Basha said.

“Albanians are self-conscious now, I see this everywhere, and you’ll have a new possibility to choose the government you want and hold it accountable to keep its promises. An important test is coming. Next year we’ll have the municipal elections, which could very well be anticipated general elections too, it will be an extraordinary chance for you to exercise the right to decide what kind of government you want”.
