Former Socialist Party MP Arben Ndoka and several other people have been arrested by the Albanian police over accusations of forgery of official documents, seals, stamps and forms within the framework of a structured criminal group.

The arrest was confirmed by the prosecutor for Serious Crimes Donika Prela in a press conference.

She added there are arrest warrants for four other people too, “which have been involved in the criminal activity of forgery, as well as employees of the state’s offices and public notaries”.

“We have information about illegal activity and corruption in several institutions of the country and the investigations are under way”, Prela said.
