Albanian Premier Edi Rama has defended the chairman of the Socialist parliamentary group Taulant Balla who is allegedly implicated in the threatening of vice commissar of police Emiljano Nuhu. The later said Balla was present in the police station of Fushë Krujë when the brother of another Socialist MP put the gun to his head.

Rama responded to the Democratic Party accusations of the Interior Ministry destroying the evidence that Balla was in the place of the incident on July 21.

Apparently Rama waited to be sure that any evidence was destroyed and used Twitter to comment, because of the big reaction and confrontation he has had on Facebook, his preferred social network.

“If Taulant Balla has been at the commissariat with a gun, then Lulzim Basha has been in power with votes and Sali (Berisha) has been Hollywood to play Pretty Woman. The Anti-Slander bill is the only way for this big politic and mediatic clownery not to turn into a shameful normality”, Rama tweeted today.
