Democratic Party MP Luçiano Boçi has reported the police department of Elbasand for violence against children. Pupils of the elementary school of the village of Mengël in the district of Elbasan protested yesterday for the closure of their school.

The protest was characterized by high tension and physical confrontation, as their parents blocked the main road for nearly six hours and clashed with the police forces that were sent at the place.  

Portesters sat in the street and blocked the circulation in the national road Elbasan-Librazhd. Video footage showed children crying and some of them had wounds in their faces.

The traumatized children said they were hit by the Special Forces.

“The policemen hit me on my head”, a little boy says with tears in his eyes.
