Democratic Party deputy Flamur Noka has accused Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj of making efforts to close the case of his brother and obstruct justice.

Xhafaj’s brother was recorded while talking to a former convict about smuggling drugs to Italy.

Noka, Interior Minister during Premier Sali Berisha’s tenure, requested from the Prosecution Office to start investigations over Premier Edi Rama and Xhafaj.

“Fatmir Xhafaj and Edi Rama are directly involved in a state complot to close through Mafioso ways the scandal of the minister’s drugs-trafficking brother”, Noka said.

“Both Rama and Xhafaj have declared the recording is an invention and he has the evidence to prove it”.
