It probably is a world record that would have made jealous even members of the most famous criminal organizations worldwide, including the Italian Cosa Nostra: Three important members of Premier Edi Rama’s ruling Socialist Party prominent have 17 names altogether. One of them has been a Parliament Members, directly supported by Rama; another was Mayor of Kavaja, also strongly supported by the Albanian Prime Minister.

Recently, Taulant Balla, number two in the Socialist Party and the man most close to Rama, accepted publicly he has links to drugs trafficker Edmond Bego, arrested in Greece a few days ago, sentenced with 21 years in prison by an Italian court for international drugs traffic. Bego managed to avoid arrest in Albania and extradition to Italy after using many names, also being known as Manoli Bega, Saimir Sina, Behlul Gjahtari.

But he is not the first person with many names associated to the Socialist Party. Two years ago, a document from Interpol Rome revealed that then-Mayor of Kavaj Elvis Rroshi had used four other names: Ervin Rroshi, Enver Rroshi, Bashkim Hallulli, Enver Roshi.

He never explained why used so many names and resulted as sentenced in Italy for gang rape and was suspected for narcotics possession and trafficking. Rroshi was dismissed after the Central Electoral Commission removed his mandate for fake declarations in the application form of decriminalization.

However, the record belongs to another Rama’s man, former Socialist deputy Armando Prenga, who has used SEVEN names during his emigrant life: Ardjan Ndoka, Mond Gjoni, Don Gjoni, Arian Ndoci, Mondj Prenga, Mondi Prenga, Prenga Mondi.
