The Democratic Party has warned the Albanian government it will annul all the corruptive concessions in healthcare once it comes to power and thanks to the modified anti-mafia law every stolen asset will return to the Albanian people.

"During the five years of Edi Rama’s government things have gone from bad to worse”, Democrat deputy Lindita Meatliaj said. “Taxes have increased, as have poverty, unemployment, and corruption. Healthcare is worse than anything else. Albanians, which according to Rama’s promises should have had free healthcare, now have a worse healthcare system and pay more for their lives”.

“It’s at least €385 million paid from our taxes to four concessions in healthcare:

€120 million for the Check up

€100 million for the laboratories

€92 million for the sterilization of medicinal equipment

€73 millions for the haemodialysis

None of these concessions has improved the system in the counties. The regional hospitals do not work and the whole system is in collapse”.

Metaliaj added that the Democratic Party “is determined to annul every corruptive concessions and every stolen asset and cents will be returned to the citizens thanks to the modified anti-mafia law”.
