Democrat Party deputy Edi Paloka has criticized Albanian Premier Edi Rama for taking Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj to pose for a picture with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Xhafaj is under continuous attacks from the opposition after the revelation that his brother Agron had been sentenced to seven years in prison by an Italian court for drugs traffic charges and recent tapings revealed he was still leading drugs smuggling to Italy from Vlorë.
Paloka said “the clown of crime” Rama deliberately took Xhafaj to take a picture with Merkel to serve it to the Albanians as credentials for his government.
However, the Democrat deputy said Rama could have success with his drugs money in “buying the silence of the ambassadors, but it cannot deceive the whole West”.
“The days and hours of the clown of crime are being counted”, wrote Paloka.
