Deputy of the Democratic Party (PD) Flamur Noka said Albanian Premier Edi Rama is not handing over former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri to justice because he possesses evidence that prove Rama’s brother Olsi’s implication in drug traffic.

“Today is the fourth day Saimir Tahiri is strolling freely in Tirana’s streets and is not arrested by Edi Rama’s justice despite of being without immunity”, Noka, Tahiri’s predecessor as Interior Minister in Sali Berisha’s cabinet, told media reporters today.

“This is a proof that he did not need the parliamentary immunity as long as he has the political support of the Prime Minister. This is a testimony of an accord between Tahiri and Rama to close the file on the former Interior Minister. It proves Edi Rama is the architect of the country’s cannabisation, a project he used to buy the elections with the help of crime and drugs. Edi Rama is hostage to the organized crime and Tahiri has the proof of Rama’s links to any powerful criminal group in Albania”.

“Edi Rama is hostage to the cocaine traffic case where his brother is involved and Saimir Tahiri possesses the proof that links Olsi Rama to the cocaine traffic”.

“These serious cases forced Rama to undo the Judiciary Reform and take the prosecution under his control. However, the parliamentary investigative committee will do everything to prove that Edi Rama allowed the cannabisation of the country to buy the elections and that Edi Rama’s place is, along with Saimir Tahiri, in prison”.
