Albanian Premier Edi Rama’s ex wife, which is famous for her extreme support to the Prime Minister, has attacked the European diplomats by justifying Rama’s statements that Albania is threatened from the Russian-backed Islamic terrorism. According to Rama’s ex Delina Fico, the foreign diplomats will pay attention only to threats.

Fico made her comment responding to a Facebook post of a security expert saying that someone had to tell Rama to stop blackmailing the European Union with the IS or Russian threat.

“You are right, but you also know you have to talk to people in the language they understand. And the language that most of the foreign diplomats understand when it comes to Western Balkans is pretty simple: Russian, influence, potential of inter-ethnic conflict, risk of violent extremisms and risk of elevated levels of migration”, Fico responded.

Indeed, Rama has been playing the blackmailing-EU card for some time now, implying Russia is there; ready to meddle in Albania. Fico is only saying what Rama is actually doing, which means that Albania’s foreign policy towards EU is that of blackmailing.
