The Democratic Party promised today Albanian Premier Edi Rama will have no peaceful day as long as he keeps the protesters from Kukës in prison for their participation in the protest against the new toll imposed on the Road of the Nation highway. PD published a video which proves the citizens were taken in the middle of the night in violation of the law and the evidence was falsified.

“The footage shows clearly the citizens have been taken by their homes in violation of the law and the human rights in the most beastly way possible”, Paloka told media reporters.

“Like that wasn’t enough, the Prosecution, which is under Rama’s control, had the courage to falsify the time when the citizens of Kukës were kidnapped. Here you have in the video the time when the forces of (IM) Fatmir Xhafaj, just like masked bandits, assailed and kidnapped the citizens from their homes”.

“Rama admitted he was to blame for what happened, but it is the Kukës citizens that are kept in prison in violation of the law and the human rights”.

Paloka appealed to Rama to “release the innocent citizens and arrest the criminals, starting with his own brother, linked to drug traffic, and (former IM) Saimir Tahiri”.
