Small businesses in Albania responded to the opposition’s call by closing shops for an hour, from 11 am till noon. The closure was a protest against the government scheme of introducing VAT on the small business.

Shops were closed in many cities, but in others they remained opened, with their owners saying they had had no information about such a protest.
