The Democratic Party of Albania (PD) has considered as illegitimate the today’s ruling of the Court of Tirana for keeping in prison 11 of the arrested participants in the protest against the new highway toll imposed by Edi Rama’s government.

Deputy chairman of PD, Edmond Spaho, the judge Alma Ahmeti, obeyed Rama’s decision and called on the Albanian citizens to start a civi disobedience.

“The only just ruling from the court would be the release of the 23 defendants, because they have been detained in violation of all the procedures. The judge today made the decision wanted by Rama, who has now the court under his control. Civil disobedience is the only solution. I appeal to all the citizens to join the opposition and those who do not want crime but democracy”, Spaho said.
