Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha accused the Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj of pressuring on the Prosecution for Serious Crimes, following a letter Xhafaj addressed to the prosecution head Bujar Hajdarmataj. Xhafaj suggested the Prosecution should summon Basha and former Premier and President of Albania Sali Berisha to testify for the drug traffic in Albania.
“This is a condemnable act by Fatmir Xhafaj, putting the prosecution de jure under the government’s control”, Basha said.
“The information I can give is the Prosecution should follow the tracks of Olsi and Edi Rama”.
