Democratic Party MP Enkelejd Alibeaj rejected the accusations of lobbying contracts as propaganda and lies. The former minister of Justice told the television Ora News that the Democratic Party (PD) had made only two payments which had been reported to the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ).

He added not a single Lek, Euro or Dollar has been paid over the paid sum of $125,000, which has been declared according the Abanian law in the Albanian institutions.

Alibeaj also spoke about the process of restructuration of PD and the voices against Chairman Lulzim Basha. “The vote of the base is what will decide and I believe is the most uncorrectable judge”, Alibeaj said.

He made some harsh statements against the government, saying it is deep in crime and is making efforts to obstruct the establishment of justice institutions, such as the Special Prosecution Office and the Bureau of Investigation.
