Thursday’s session in the Albanian parliament started with arguments, following the body inspection of the deputies by the Guard of Republic members, irritating the MP, in particular the opposition ones.
Democrat MP Edi Paloka felt offended and accused Speaker Gramoz Ruçi of treating the deputies “as terrorists and thieves.
“You cannot treat a deputy like a piece of rag”, Paloka said. “In no parliament are the deputies bodily inspected”, Democrat MP Tritan Shehu added.
Ruçi responded he wasn’t in the know of the problem and promised the deputies he would verify it.
Obviously, the body inspection of deputies has been prompted by the physic confrontation during the session of voting the temporary General prosecutor Arta Marku when the opposition threw smoke bombs towards PM Rama.
