The Democratic Party (PD) will submit an interpellation request for minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj as the main responsible for the extradition in Italy of Nezar Seiti, the only arrested member of the Habilaj organization that is under investigation in Albania. According to PD, Seiti’s extradition was “kidnapping performed by the Albanian state”, because he was extradited exactly in the day when he decided to become a collaborator of justice and testimony for the benefits of former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri by the drugs traffic.

"Last week, per direct order of Edi Rama, the government performed one of the worst acts that damaged the investigations that include Saimir Tahiri’s implication in the international drugs traffic”, Democrat deputy Enkeled Alibeaj said today.

“Nezir Seitaj, the financier of the organization of Saimir Tahiri and (his cousins) Habilajs, was kidnapped by the Albanian state in the day he agreed to become a collaborator of the Prosecution for Serious Crimes to confess about the millions taken by Tahiri as benefits from the international drug traffic”.

“This is a worse act then Tahiri’s drug trafficking. The latter shows the link of the Interior Minister to the drug traffic. The first shows how the entire state, the ministries of Justice, Internal Affairs, the Prosecution Office, the Directorate of Prisons, ordered by Edi Rama, kidnapped the only witness when he risked cracking Tahiri’s case wide open”.

“This is why PD has decided to call into an urgent interpellation the minister of Justice Etilda Gjonaj as the main culprit for the illegal extradition of Nezar Seiti, the financier of the criminal organization”.

Aliabej added the interpellation will serve to a further discovery of Edi Rama’s scheme to close the dossier of Tahiri’s implication in the international drug traffic.

“Prior to his extradition, Seiti was the only gang member that was under investigation under arrest by the Prosecution for Serious Crimes. The others are either under arrest in Italy or wanted police officers who are at large thanks to Edi Rama’s help or Members of the Albanian parliament under Rama’s protection”.
