For the first time ever in its history, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) was not able to elect its Secretary General and other high officials after the expiry of the current officials’ mandates. For the first time ever in its existence, OSCE is lead by an executive with expired mandate.
The main cause of the unprecedented appointments’ crisis stands on the spectacular failure of the current chairman-in-office in his duty to manage reaching a consensus among the member countries for the proposed candidatures.
OSCE’s chairman in office is the Foreign Minister of the only narco-state in Europe, Edvin “the Druggy” Rama. According to diplomatic sources that prefer to remain anonymous, was not accepted for visits from several homologues.
Other diplomats that have read the OSCE Report accusing Rama of illegitimate $200 million, which he never objected, think even worse.
According to the representatives of this group that do now wish to be identified, the crisis occurred because Edi the Druggy tried to make certain bargains that would benefit him, tearing down the reaching of a consensus.
A third group of diplomats, apparently from the region, believe he didn’t have the time to work for reaching a consensus for the appointment of the highest officials of OSCE because:
a) He was busy with the spring planting of cannabis, of course, of the “medicinal” cannabis, and
b) He was very busy with the negotiations to spoil the consensus reached by his country’s political forces for the electoral reform.
Edvin the Druggy inherited the OSCE chairmanship from the previous government and, in order to personalize it, he appointed himself Minister for Europe and the Foreign Affairs and thought it was the time to put into his agenda – on Belgrade’s account – the agreement between Serbia and Kosovo; and he thought he would be able to solve the Ukraine crisis.
As a matter of fact, the only thing he did was bringing the crisis to OSCE Headquarters in Vienna.
In the end, diplomats from the Albanian Foreign Ministry are speaking around that this is Sali Berisha’s fault, because Albania’s OSCE chairmanship – for which we are being discredited – was decided during his tenure as Prime Minister.
Fellow Albanians, this is a shameful closure!
