Albania recorded its largest daily increase in coronavirus cases as 34 new infections out of 247 persons tested were reported in the last 24 hours. This is the highest daily number since the first case was reported in March 9, confirmed by the ministry of health, bringing the total to 712.

In its daily report, the ministry also confirmed the majority of the newly infected are asymptomatic and mainly related to persons that have resulted positive earlier. 18 new cases have been recorded in Kruja, where sewing factories have remained open during the lockdown imposed by the government.

However, the ministry said in no other sewing factories have been recorded coronavirus cases, which means that “our attitude related to the rules plays a main role in the fight with coronavirus”.

Nine patients have received a clean bill of health in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 403 recovered persons.
