Albanian Minister of the Interior Sandër Lleshaj addressed to the citizens today asking them to stay at home because this is the only way to stop the spread of coronavirus. The Minister also warned for stronger measures from the police against the violators of the curfew imposed by the government.

"Nearly 1200 citizens have received penalties up to 10 thousand Lek because they were caught in flagrance by police officers or denounced through phone calls for walking or riding bikes without an emergency motive”, Lleshaj wrote on his Facebook page.

“The only way to keep safe yourselves and your families is by staying home. There is no other choice. Otherwise, the police measures for the punishment of the violators will be tougher. No one will be tolerated”.
