A bizarre incident occurred today during the celebrations for the tenth anniversary of Albania’s membership in NATO.

While President Ilir Meta and Prime Minister Edi Rama held their speeches, more than 20 militaries participating in the parade collapsed on the ground.

Several were hospitalized in the emergency room while one was sent to the Military Hospital with head injuries. The rest held alcohol-soaked cotton under their noses.

The militaries were standing in the square since the early hours of the morning and presumably the lack of food and high temperature made them faint.
