Euro dropped to a historic low of the last nine years against the Albanian Lek. Official data from the Bank of Albania show the European currency is for the last was changed for 134.14 Lek, the lowest level since August 2009.
Exchange agencies say the market has high demands for Euros and recent days have shown a growing tendency of exchanging from small amounts up to 500 Euros. Some think it may be connected to the electoral campaign.
