Albanian municipalities have reported record revenues from infrastructure taxes for the first 9 months of 2017. According to Financatvendore.al, tax revenues contributed with approximately 4.4 billion Leks in the local budget, for all the municipalities together, 1.7 billion Leks more than the same period of the previous year.

Nearlu 71.4% of the infrastructure tax revenues, equals to 3.1 billion Leks, were registered in Tirana’s municipality, nearly 4.9 times higher than the revenues of the same period of the previous year.

The performance in the infrastructure tax revenues suggests for a revival of the construction activity in the country, both private and public, says the portal of the local finances.

For the whole Albania the total of constructions, based on the permits given for the first 9 month, is nearly 520 million Euros (in the other districts the average infrastructure tax is 4% of the value).

The rhythm of constructions is expected to be high in the Albanian capital in 2018 as well, with record revenues of 24 million Euros from infrastructure taxes, according to the official budget of Tirana for this year. In total, for the period 2017-2018, €600 million worth of constructions are expected to be made in Tirana.
