The Democratic Party of Albania has requested today, within the framework of the Law of Decriminalization, the verification of the past of two Members of the Parliament: PDIU’s Aqif Rakipi and Socialist Party’s Gjetan Gjetani. The official request has been sent to the Prosecution Office and the Central Electoral Commisssion (KQZ).

"Based upon informally obtained data, there is a reasonable suspect that the subject Gjetan Gjetani is incompatible with running for and being elected in high public functions due to his criminal records in Italy”, PD says in its request.
