The Democratic Party of Albania (PD) is determined for a popular referendum on the question of waste import, despite the rejection of its request by the Conference of the Chairpersons. PD had requested to put its request in the tomorrow’s session’s agenda.

Head of the Democrat Parliamentary group Edmond Spaho said PD will pressure for the referendum.

"This request was stalled deliberately by the majority, but we insist it is included in the tomorrow’s agenda in the parliament. The majority rejected it with the excuse of a few technicalities, but we will fulfill the missing elements and will pressure to hold the referendum,  because it is a Constitutional right and also the citizens have the right to express themselves for their own future”, Spaho said.
