The European Parliament's Rapporteur on Albania, Knut Fleckenstein said today in Tirana there are no extra obligations to Albania for opening of the negotiations on EU accession but free elections and five key priorities, rejecting like this the possibility for Greece to add another obligation about the issue of the minority properties in Albania.
“For the first time, I see no extra obligation”, Fleckenstein told media reporters. “We have always talked about the elections and five key priorities and it would not be fair to have extra obligations to open the negotiations”.
“We’ll be waiting for the report of our Italian colleagues that fly to Albania and we’ll see the result of these flights”.
