The new Albanian parliament will have a high number of deputies of young age and for the first time ever four students will sit in its chairs.

According to the official data from the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ), the student deputies include two young ladies from the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI), Kejdi Mehmeti and Floida Kërpaçi, and another one from the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity (PDIU), Reme Lala.

Even though Mehmeti has been elected for the second time, she still continues studies for engineering. Kërpaçi, which will sit for the first time in the parliament, is the chairwoman of LSI’s youth forum and continues her studies in pharmaceutics. Lala, 22, studies for finance.

The fourth one is the Socialist deputy Anduel Xhindi, the son of the late Fatmir Xhindi, the deputy that was murdered in 2009. According to the resume he has consigned to KQZ, Xhindi is an eternal student. He has declared he’s been studying in the Faculty of Economics since 2006 and hasn’t graduated yet.
