Prime Minister’s office has announced Premier Edi Rama has annulled the order of Minister of Justice Gazment Bardhi, making clear the resignations cannot be refused and the minister’s administrative probe may continue without obstacles.

“If the administrative probe will find violations of the law, the record keepers that have made the violations must go before justice.

The Albanian government has an Ethic Code, approved by a decision of the Council of the Ministers, in its very first meeting, and no minister, be them either political or technical, outgoing or staying, cannot violate this Code, which clearly states that the government is not a group of individuals that act with their own head, but it’s a team headed by the Prime Minister and it functions according to the simple principle of before-hand approval by the Prime Minister of the administrative acts and of the ministers’ communication with the public”, the Prime Minister’s office has announced.

Earlier, the Minister of Justice, from the Democratic Party, decided to suspend the requests for resignation from the chiefs of the offices of property registration in the counties. Bardhi said it is needed first to check on their job and anyone who has made violations should leave the job with disciplinary measures and with resignations.
