The Democratic Party (PD) has invited the members of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) in Tirana’s city council to boycott the today’s session, where the proposal for increasing the price of tap water with 44% will be discussed and voted.

Chairman of the Democrat group of councilors Leonard Olli appealed for boycott of the city council meeting.

“If we do not succeed to block this voting together, it will be a serious damage made to the citizens’ interest”, Olli said.

“For a quorum reason, it would be better to boycott this meeting, in order to block Veliaj’s Mafioso interests. Let us block the passing of this evil act of Tirana’s Municipality. I would like to call on not only the LSI colleagues, but from other forces as well, Socialist Party included, not to become part of this Mafioso act”.
