The Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) has denounced 76 members and first counters of the the counting groups of the votes of the June 25 elections.

KQZ’s spokeswoman Drilona Hoxhaj said the accused have “falsified the electoral materials and the elections results”.

The legal proceedings started after KQZ examined the complaints presented by PDIU and PS, which objected the result for the county of Tirana, requesting a recount for 64 polling places.

KQZ decided in favour of a recount and in the end of the process resulted that the new result, emerged from the recount, in 24 polling places, was different from first count, made by the accused counters.

The members of the counting groups have written smaller numbers for several subjects and bigger ones for other subjects, compared to the real number of the votes in the polling boxes.
