The Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) has voted against the request of the Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity (PDIU) to recount the votes in hundreds of polling places, where they pretend to have enough votes to win a deputy mandate for Chairman Shpëtim Idrizi.
In the end of discussions, KQZ rejected the request, leaving former deputy Speaker Idrizi out of the new parliament.
Deputy Mesila Doda saud there are 50 thousand votes for the PDIU chairman that have not been counted, but the Socialist Party representative in KQZ Eridian Salianji said no PDIU observer has written any contests in the process-verbal.
KQZ also approved the final tables of the deputies’ mandates for the county of Tirana.
The Socialist Party will have 18 deputies, the Democratic Party 11 and the Socialist Movement for Integration 5.
