The Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) managed to keep the score of 2013 in Sunday’s election despite running alone against Edi Rama’s Socialist Party and Lulzim Basha’s Democratic Party.

LSI will be on opposition now after eight years in the governing coalition, first with the Democratic Party and then with the Socialist Party. Chairman Petrit Vasili accepted the defeat, saying it came under pressure and terror. His deputy, Monika Kryemadhi, also addressed to LSI voters.

“You are heroes, you did your best under police pressure”, Kryemadhi wrote in her Facebook page.

“Friends, you are not voters for me, but HEROES, because you confronted with determination and dignity not merely with politic adversaries, but with a terror strategy and criminal threats orchestrated by the State Police. That’s why, for me and LSI, you are missionaries of the democracy, future and your children.

Hugs and endless gratitude for you all”.
