Deputy chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Luan Rama appeared in front of media reporters to denounce “armed groups that move with armoured vehicles, with false number plates and with political support from known individuals of the Renaissance and pressure on the citizens” of the county of Durrës.

“The most alarming situation is in the area of Shijak, which is totally out of the control of the State Police Structures, which are inexistent there”, Rama said.

“We have immediately announced all the monitoring boards in the country. We have communicated with the OSCE/ODIHR monitoring mission, the US Embassy and the Embassies of the EU countries in Tirana. We’d like to attract the attention, because the activity of the criminal groups may escalate with heavy consequences there”.
