Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha closed the electoral campaign in Laç today, saying the Albanians will vote for the economy not for the national heroes, which they keep in their hearts.

“Your priority is our priority, the priority of our economic plan that was born out of your needs and problems”, Basha said.

“Edi Rama knows I am the only one with a plan, because he had no plan. He will break his promises, as he did in the last four years, because he has wrong priorities. We are the only ones with an economic plan”.

“Since he has no plan, he doesn’t know what to say. Sometimes he speaks like he is the opposition chairman, but people didn’t buy it. Now he says that voting for him is voting for Ismail Qemali or Scanderbeg! Should we laugh or should we cry?! Ismail Qemali, the father of Independence is in our hearts. Scanderbeg is our national identity. But on Sunday we’ll tell Rama the election is neither for Scanderbeg nor for Ismail Qemali, but for the economy. The vote is for the economy and it will decide whether we’ll keep the high taxes and raise them even more with Edi Rama”.
