Former Premier Sali Berisha has commented sarcastically the broken promises of Vlora’s Deputy and Premier Edi Rama. Under the title “Lungomare like (the castle of) Rozafa”, Berisha has taken one by one all Rama’s promises for the area of Vlora, mocking them as “Nastradin Rama’s sugarbreads in Vlora”.

The Corridor of Labëria

Vlora’s bypass

The famous Lungomare with 6 lanes

The airport of Akërní.

From all his promises, the Blue Corridor, the North-South one and the Corritod of Labëria sleep in his fantasy garden.

Vlora’s bypass has remained where it started. It has not been constructed, not even a kilometer, even though the deadline was the end of 2016.

The famous Lungomare, which imprisoned (former Mayor) Shpëtim Gjika because he had made the project and had started the work, shrank like cloth in water.

Out of six lanes and blooming flowers among them, it ended with two lanes and ugly concrete in the middle.

He inaugurated the start of work in August 2014, promising the finish of construction within 14 months. Rama inspected the work in June 2015, repeating the promise of one year earlier.

Yesterday, 34 month after the first promise and 22 month after the second one, Lungomare has become like (the legend’s castle of) Rozafa, without a finish date.

As for the airport of Akërní, it was another solemn deception with the motto “we have told you many lied and we’ll tell much more”, Berisha writes in his Facebook page.
