Yesterday’s Democratic Party protest for free and fair elections was discussed in the meeting of the board of directors of the Women Forum of the European People’s Parties in Brussels, chaired by President Doris Pack.

Chairwoman of the Democratic League of Albanian Women Albana Vokshi spoke about the latest political developments in Albania and expressed the determination of the Democratic Party to ensure free and fair elections, which is a fundamental standard of every European society.

The Democrat deputy informed her European colleagues about the campaign of disinformation of the foreign partners from Rama’s government through propaganda and lobbying financed with dirty money.

Ms. Doris Pack expressed her concern for crime’s connection to the Albanian government and criticized the silence of the foreign diplomats. She also criticized the attitude of German Foreign Minister Siegmar Gabriel during his visit to Tirana.

"What is happening currently in Albania is crazy. The country is covered by drugs, dangerous not only for transforming the country in a main hub of drugs production and traffic, but also for the environment where the Albanian children grow up”, Pack said.

“Tens of persons with criminal records are in the parliament and administration because they have paid Rama’s power, while the professionals are fired due to their political convictions”.

Pack added a technical government is the only solution to the crisis and expressed full support to Vice President of the European Parliament McAllister as the right negotiator for finding a solution to the crisis in Albania.
